Reghard has been involved in motor racing since 1989. A short synopsis of his career is given below

1989: Starts racing Formula M in Transvaal championship.

1990: Progresses to Formula Ford in a Ray 83.  Competes in limited events due to school commitments.

1991: As above, passes Matric.

1992: Nino Venturi (Mr. Formula Ford) recognizes Reghard's potential and offers him a job.  He works and races for Nino in a Class B Royale RP21.  Wins several Class B races and sets up four lap records.  Gains extensive knowledge in race car preparation and setup from the master himself.

1993: Stopped racing to study mechanical engineering
